So much for my plans for a short day....

Left the campsite about 0830 after having a cup of tea made for me by my camping neighbours, for which I was extremely grateful, and set off into the misty foggy headwind. The day stayed pretty much like that all the way to Tarbatt Ness, with nothing going on. It was essentially the exact opposite of this picture from Loch Ness a couple of days ago.

I'd planned on finding somewhere to camp at the , but it was/a bit grim and rainy etc. So I figured I'd keep going as the headwind was proving to be bearable.

The crossing was straightforward, the only panic was when I found myself crossing a pod of dolphins at full speed, they're really quite big close up and in full jump mode.

I landed intending on using the campsite but it was to far from the beach after 12hrs of paddling, so I'm camped on the edge of the dunes listening to the surf again.

Planning a biggish day tomorrow as the weather is all good, I'm on map 44 of the 48 I printed so a big push tomorrow should set me up to finish on Monday......
