Back in the boat

So, got back out in the boat yesterday for the first time since breaking my foot a couple of weeks ago, and on the whole everything felt pretty good. 50km, some good surfing, a spot of sailing, and a swim........ This wasn't part of the training plan, or indeed any plan.
I realised this is the first time I've ever swam from a sea boat. Turns out its just like swimming from every other boat, a real pain in the backside! I think I'll make that my first and last.
Learned lots of lessons about solo paddling! The most significant of which is to always, always, always, check you've done up your relief zip on your dry trousers....... I do love a dose of mild hypothermia at the weekend!
